The Moment of Eternity
City Bolesławiec 59-700
How many faces, so many different human lives …
Each with its own story, interspersed with joy and sadness.
All of them fastened with the buckle of the passing time …
While doing my work, I wanted to refer to the passing time, which flows uniformly and constantly for every human being. On the bas-relief we can find young people in their 20s and older ones in the 70’s. The idea is to visit the bas-relief after many years and bring a granddaughter with a grandson and show a substitute for its physical form, packaging from many years ago. I tried to write this physical form on a medium which is clay, which can survive for thousands of years. In our lives we often chase after values that are fleeting, such as money or material goods. The bas-relief is meant to provoke a moment of reflection on the passing time. To appreciate the present and enjoy each day that is given to us. To live happily and be a good person. 49 residents of the city of Bolesławiec were involved in the project.
